Porta Miñá Museum, housing the permanent collection Imago Antiqua. Roman Lugo, is located opposite the Gateway of the Roman Wall bearing the same name. This was the origin of the so-called decumanus maximo of the city and the Roma Path XIX to Braga. No doubt, this is one of those special places in Galicia where the Roman atmosphere can still be perceived at its best.

The exhibition room houses a great collection that takes the visitor on a historic journey with four significant stages: the conquest, the golden age, the fortification and the sunset.

The main feature of this collection is the slab bearing the inscription of the city´s founders. Imago Antiqua is structured around two ares. On the right-hand side there are pieces from the time of the conquest and the golden age of the Roman Empire. On the left, there is a model replica of the city´s fortification, where the visitor can see the real structure of the Wall and how it performed its defensive function.
